Gnr Noel Lynch and Sgt Denis McGarry from Collins Barracks came to our school today to read the proclamation of 1916 and to present the school with a tricolour to commemorate the 1916 centenary. Robin Fenlon Byrne accepted the flag and Billy Sheen helped to read the proclamation. At the end we sang the National Anthem. Next year on March 15th our school, along with all the other schools in Ireland, will raise the flag and read the proclamation to remember 1916.
